Harry Potter festival benefits Preston’s historic Oneida Stake Academy-KPVI
The Oneida Stake Academy Foundation’s 2023 fund-raiser was a fantastic success – because it was soooo fun! and so well attended!
Under the leadership of Laci Smith, a committee transformed the Oneida Stake Academy Building into a magical place reminiscent of Hogwarts, Harry Potter’s School. Inside visitors were able to make their own wands, plant magical “mandrakes,” design their own potions (perfumes), and monster books.
Local businesses brought their wares to a room designated as “Daigon Alley,” and an incredible chicken dinner was served in the “Great Hall,” or ballroom of the Academy building.
Magical treats were sold from one room of the building and outside, families enjoyed horse-drawn wagon rides from Hyde-Away Ranch.
Hundreds of people enjoyed the evening and one couple became engaged at the head table of feast. What a magical experience!
Special thanks to Laci Smith, Nichole Bingham, Noreen Seamons, Sydney Seamons, Carolyn Gunter and Shalyn Fitzgerald for organizing the event.
